Eligibility Requirements
To register to vote in Florida, you must meet the following eligibility criteria: * Be a citizen of the United States of America * Be a legal resident of Florida * Be a legal resident of the county in which you intend to vote
How to Register
You can apply to register to vote in any of the following ways:
Online Registration
* Visit the Florida Department of State's election website: https://dos.myflorida.com/elections/for-voters/voter-registration/voter-registration-options/ * Complete the online voter registration form and submit it electronically.
Mail-In Registration
* Download a voter registration form from the Florida Department of State's website. * Complete the form and mail it to: * Florida Department of State * Division of Elections * Gray Building * 500 South Bronough Street * Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0250
In-Person Registration
* Visit your local supervisor of elections office. * Complete a voter registration form and submit it in person.
Additional Registration Options
* **At public assistance agencies:** You can register to vote when applying for benefits at certain public assistance agencies, such as health and welfare agencies. * **At libraries and other locations:** Some libraries and other public locations offer voter registration services. Check with your local library or other community centers. * **During early voting:** When early voting is available, you can register and vote at the same time at designated early voting locations.
Important Notes
* You must register at least 29 days before an election to be eligible to vote in that election. * If you have moved, you must update your voter registration information. * If you have questions or need assistance, please contact your local supervisor of elections office.
